Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Drug Development: Regulatory Initiatives for More Inclusive Research
Underrepresentation remains a problem in clinical research. A range of barriers has historically excluded underrepresented populations, but new efforts are aimed at closing this gap. In this presentation, we will discuss recent regulatory initiatives to promote representation in drug development.
Working with Patients: Communication, Input, and Challenges
Patient relationships with health care providers (HCPs) and pharma are changing as patients are increasingly becoming more educated, more informed, and more engaged about their healthcare. Bringing the voice of the patient, as central stakeholders and decision-making partners, into the design and implementation of trials, research, and drug marketing from the start, in a meaningful way that also protects privacy, is transformative and creates a win-win situation for research, pharma, HCPs and patients.
